About Guyde

So, a few years ago my sister signed up for a class after checking rating on one of those professor rating websites. And according to the reviews, this professor was the best stats professor in the univer[sity].

But it turned out to not be true.

The professor was the complete opposite of what the ratings said. Most kids ended up dropping because the class was absolutely brutal. It turned out a lot of those reviews were just straight up misleading and totally made up.

And that really bothered me. We are already super stressed, broke, and trying to make good choices with the limited information that we have. I just feel like getting burned like that just felt wrong.

So I started digging.

I wanted to know: Is there a better way to understand what we're legit walking into before we enroll in a class? Out of that question, Guyde was born.

This site is my attempt to give us a clearer picture of our classes before we enroll into them. Also, I know it's not perfect (nothing is) but my hope is that this website will help us all make smarter decisions about our schedules so that we don’t end up blindsided like my little sister did.

I've shamelessly added ads to the site because, I'm broke af.

I’m a college student, and hosting, domains, and time all cost money. The ads help keep Guyde online and free to use for everyone. If they’re a little annoying sometimes, I get it and I appreciate you putting up with them because, I be broke.
